Inperium Announces Strategic Sale of Coras Affiliate in Delaware
July 2, 2025
Reading, PA — Inperium, Inc., a nonprofit holding company and national leader in health and human services affiliations, announced today the successful closing of the sale of its Delaware-based affiliate, Coras Wellness and Behavioral Health, LLC (Coras), a provider specializing in substance use disorder (SUD) services. Coras had operated as a subsidiary of Conexio Care Inc. (Conexio), another Inperium affiliate also located in Delaware.
The new owners of Coras, with a track record of providing SUD services in other states, have been vetted and approved for licensure by the state of Delaware. Under their management, Coras will continue to provide high-quality services to the state’s vulnerable and underserved communities.
“This transaction reflects Inperium’s ability to be both a strategic buyer and, when appropriate, a deliberative seller,” said Ryan Dewey Smith, Inperium’s Founding Executive Chairman and CEO. “While we remain focused on growth through affiliation, we are also committed to reallocating resources where they best align with our near-term goal of reaching $1 billion in revenue and our long-term strategic vision of expanding our mission-driven impact nationwide.”
The sale was prompted by Inperium’s commitment to its strategic plan, and it will reinvest the sale proceeds in ways that further its mission of scale, sustainability, and service excellence.
Coras’s transition to new ownership marks its next chapter since Inperium acquired its programs through federal bankruptcy court in 2021. Inperium’s presence in the state and its collaboration with Delaware’s Department of Health and Social Services will continue through Conexio, one of the state’s largest providers of services to Delawareans with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses.
