Michael has spent his entire 20+ career collaborating with healthcare organizations that include publicly traded, non-profit and private equity backed companies. His experience spans the continuum of the healthcare spectrum ranging from integrated health systems, specialty hospitals, behavioral health, IDD, SUD, autism and all services under the home & community-based category. Michael’s healthcare career began at Aria Health & Abington Memorial Hospital (now part of Jefferson Health System) and his leadership progression led him to join companies which included: UHS Inc, Adventist Healthcare, WellLife Network, Pathways Health & Community Support, Consensus Heath and now Inperium. At every organization that he joins, Michael is able to use his financial expertise to partner with operations & clinical staff to bring the organization to new levels of financial performance.

Notable Key Accomplishments

  • Lead financial turnaround of the organization going from negative double digit EBITDA margins to
    positive high single digit EBITDA margins in less than 2-years
  • Restructuring productivity models, setting case load base lines, building new supervision structure for
    unlicensed clinicians and increasing licensed capacity
  • Rebuilt RCM team and processes so the organization was able to exceed world class industry KPI
    metrics inclusive of decreasing bad debt/denials to 0.7%, increasing cash collections to 103% from 52%
    and DSO at 34 days from 95 days
  • Established key lending institution relationship which helped us attain a $38M credit line to assist in
    organic growth and through acquisitions (establish internal process for due diligence & integration)
  • Building business intelligence systems which integrate EHR/general ledger/time & attendance to help
    produce real time reporting to make key strategic decisions
