Jay Deppeler

Sr. Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer

Jay Deppeler, M.Ed. has worked in the health and human service field for nearly 30 years.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Services from Lehigh University (’97) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Philosophy from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA (’95). Jay’s career in health and human service began when he was a summer unit aid at a Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) for adolescents struggling with problem sexual behaviors (PBTs) between his junior and senior years in college.  There, his interest in helping adolescents took root and informed his post-graduate educational pursuits.

In October of 1997, Jay was hired as a Clinical Therapist at an organization in Doylestown, PA that worked with adolescents through the juvenile justice, child welfare, and behavioral health systems called Middle Earth, Inc.  In 2000, Jay and 2 colleagues carved the RTF programs out of Middle Earth and created Edison Court, Inc. where he became the COO. Concurrently, Jay was hired by Bucks County Forensics to provide psychological screenings to adolescents referred to the Juvenil Court in Bucks County.  As he developed his administrative acumen by guiding the operations of the business, he continued to develop his clinical skills and ultimately started Delaware Valley Forensic Psychological Services (DVFPS) where he provided Sex Offender Treatment, Batterer’s Intervention, and Anger Management to adults referred through the County, State, and Federal parole and probation systems.  He also served as an expert witness in 4 death penalty trials in the sentencing phase in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.  Jay sold DVFPS in 2013.

Shortly after selling DVFPS, Jay was asked to be the President and CEO of Edison Court, Inc. (ECI) where he led the development of the first organizational strategic plan, its inaugural national accreditation through COA, and the initial implementation of an Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR).  In 2016, the Board of ECI determined that growth was essential for the sustainability of the organization to leverage scale economies.  After many fruitless attempts to get similarly sized organizations to join in the Bucks County, PA region, ECI found Inperium, Inc. and consummated an affiliation on February 24, 2017.

Since joining the Inperium network, Jay has assisted in its growth from a roughly $40MM total gross revenue aggregator in PA to where it stands today at nearly $800MM of total gross revenue operating in 19 States across the US.  Jay is passionate about the benefits the Inperium model can afford the entities that enter the network by availing them access to more powerful systems to operate and manage their businesses, protection from market vagaries, enhanced governance structures, and lower cost of capital to name a few.
