Apis Services Promotes Michael Olmeda to Chief Human Resources Officer

September 2, 2026 – Apis Services, Inc. announces the promotion of Michael Olmeda to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Olmeda, who joined Apis Services in 2018 and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources Operations, will lead human resources strategy, workforce operations, talent, employee and labor relations, compliance, HR technology, organizational development, and workforce transformation across Apis Services and its affiliated organizations.

“Michael understands Apis and the complex workforce needs of the organizations we support,” said George Contos, CEO of Apis Services. “He helped us build the infrastructure, systems, and strategies that support our growth and our workforce at scale. I’m pleased to have him continue to lead this work as Apis’s CHRO.”

Olmeda brings more than 18 years of human resources and operational leadership experience across human services, behavioral health, healthcare, education, and nonprofit organizations. During his tenure at Apis, he helped scale and centralize HR operations as our workforce grew from approximately 4,000 to more than 10,000 employees across 24 states and more than 20 affiliated organizations. He also led workforce integration and change-management efforts to support acquisitions and affiliate expansion, implemented a shared-services HR structure, and advanced workforce analytics and technology.

“I am honored to take on this role and to continue supporting the people and organizations we serve,” Olmeda said. “As Apis grows, our focus remains clear: to build workforce strategies and systems that strengthen our affiliates and the organization as a whole and help employees do their best work.”

A U.S. Army veteran, Olmeda served for more than a decade and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology from Charter University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas.
