William Curtin is currently the Executive Vice President of Business Operations for Apis Services, Inc. His role serves to coordinate the administrative service functions of Human Resources, Information Technology, Health and Welfare Benefit Plans, Training, Recruiting, and Insurance Risk Management to support the operations of the Inperium affiliates.
Mr. Curtin previously held the role of Senior Vice President for Beacon Health Options Florida operations serving 1.4 million Medicare/ Medicaid/ ACA members as a carve out service provider providing behavioral health/ drug treatment services to the 6 largest health plans in America.
Mr. Curtin also previously served as the ACA division Vice for President Preferred Medical Plan (PMP) in which the Qualified Health Plan initiative under CMS “Obamacare” was created from scratch. The HMO plan and delivery system through PMP represented 120,000 members, $500 million in revenue and 460 employees.
Mr. Curtin brings more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare arena. Mr. Curtin brings a diverse perspective having held senior management roles in sales, marketing, and operations with Hospital Systems, HMO’s, PPO’s, health insurance companies, health and welfare actuarial firms, Physician’s Service Organizations as well as primary and multi-specialty group practices. Mr. Curtin’s management experience spans the spectrum of health and welfare plans, serving fortune 500 and large middle market employers while with carriers Met Life, United Healthcare, BC/BS and CIGNA.
Mr. Curtin acquired knowledge of the employer perspective as Vice President for Marsh’s southeastern employee benefits consulting practice. He was instrumental in implementing one of the 1st national PPO networks coupled with effective utilization and case management programs as Regional VP with Met Life. He developed a thorough knowledge of medical provider’s interest as a founding member of Lifeway, a disease and physician practice management company.
Mr. Curtin earned a B.A. from Penn State University and an M.B.A with a concentration in Health Administration from the University of Miami. Through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, William Curtin has achieved the Professional Designation CEBS, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.
