Mr. Spencer has over 15 years of finance, accounting, and managerial experience. He began his career at Ernst & Young LLP where he focused on mutual fund and hedge fund audits. Mr. Spencer subsequently spent six years at RKL LLP where he first worked on business consulting for middle-market companies and then expanded to include senior living providers and other aging services companies, many of which were non-profits.
In 2018, Mr. Spencer launched SilverBloom Consulting, LLC where he leveraged his experience and strategic thinking to help guide non-profit and for-profit aging services providers in fiscal management, accounting, and strategy development and execution. Most recently, Mr. Spencer has served as CFO of a multi-site senior living system in the Washington, DC metro area where he has been leading fiscal and growth strategy while managing a high-performing back-office team of accountants and analysts. Mr. Spencer has also been providing consulting services including financial modeling, capital raising, capital relationship management, and distressed asset management for entities in bankruptcy or receivership.
In addition to earning an MSA/MBA from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Arizona University, Mr. Spencer is a certified public accountant. He serves on the boards and finance committees of Berks Community Health Center and The Highlands at Wyomissing. Mr. Spencer was a 2016 recipient of the “Forty under 40” award.
