How Attain sustained its mission without sacrificing identity

Florida-based Attain has a decades-long legacy of quality, uniquely personalized behavioral care through community-based group homes, childhood development support, and integrated adult training. But in 2024, the organization was facing challenges including rising inflation and regulatory changes that led Attain searching for a more sustainable path forward—but one that kept their mission as the priority. Several of the available opportunities offered stability but at the expense of Attain’s identity and autonomy. Instead, Inperium’s model was the best fit. Attain kept its board, brand, and decision-making power and gained a network of strategic guidance from organizations facing similar pressures, making the future even brighter.

“As nonprofit leaders, we often bear the dual burden of visionary leadership and operational reality. The Inperium model offered relief from that tension…They brought us tools, expertise, and a peer network that has strengthened our ability to deliver on our mission.”

- Dr. Craig A. Cook, Executive Director, Attain
