Abraxas Youth & Family Services is a nonprofit dedicated to helping youth, adults, and families through a variety of programs, including alternative education, counseling, in-home services, residential treatment, and re-entry assistance. 

 

What began in 1973 as a small operation serving 30 clients in Marienville, Pennsylvania, has now grown into 17 programs across five states, supporting more than 5,000 individuals each year.

Results

Since affiliating with Inperium in 2021, Abraxas has experienced significant growth. Revenue increased 58%, from $71 million in 2021 to $112 million in 2025, and the organization has expanded its programs to better serve vulnerable populations across seven states. 

Abraxas is now in a strong position to further grow its impact and expand into new markets—including a recent facility addition in Vermont—to offer more comprehensive services that meet the growing needs of youth and families.

Coming into the constellation allowed us to reconnect with what has guided Abraxas from the beginning. Our focus has always been on supporting youth who may have limited options or who have experienced difficult environments. That work is deeply human, and being part of a nonprofit network reflects that.

As a 50-year-old organization, our identity is extremely important to us. We are defined by our mission and values.
